Time….. Really Our Most Precious Gift

Does anyone know how much time they have? We are in the heart of the holiday season and nearing the end of 2013.  It’s a perfect time to reflect on our lives, our loves and our futures as we are considering our Resolutions for 2014.   One day a woman’s husband died On that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn’t “anymore”. No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more “just one minute.” Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away. No more tomorrow, no more chances to say  good-bye or say “I love you.” While we have our relationships and life, it’s best we love today, care today, fix it what’s broken today.  Time to heal what’s wrong. All this is true for marriage…..old cars…children with bad report cards, dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.
